SommiT Ireland

SommiT Ireland – is a three-day gathering of Food and Wine enthusiasts who showcase and embrace Irish Hospitality writ large.

The event began in Waterford this past three years, to acclaim from home and away.

In MAY 2026, SommiT is moving to DROGHEDA, to the heart of Ireland’s Ancient East in the Boyne Valley.

Our Special Guest grapes in 2026 are ALBARIÑO and SANGIOVESE

Albeit the smallest county, Louth is now home to the largest planting of Vitis vinifera (wine grapes) on the island.

With the burgeoning success of the wine industry in England and Wales, Ireland is poised to follow suit. It’s our time.

There is much to come in the wine world in Ireland, we are sure of that.

In the meantime, we have much to learn, to see and to taste from the entire wine world represented in Ireland today!
